The devices are physically similar, but use different software for calibrating and profiling monitors and projectors. Neither is faster than the OEM or retail i1 Display Pro since they are in fact the same hardware. i1Display Pro is one of the two the latest products from X-Rite the other, the ColorMunki Display, was looked at in a separate review.The i1Display Pro provides the next level of monitor and projector calibration for the consumer as well as the prosumer photographic market and graphic design community. I previously used a Spyder5Pro and a SpyderXPro which proved only marginally better than the Spyder5 because of its speed but the i1display Pro beats both of them hands down. When the i1Display Pro was first released the manufacturer (X-Rite) touted that it is up to 5x faster than their less expensive ColorMunki Display, so the same holds true for all versions, including the C6 and ChromaPure Display 3 PRO.

I have calibrated my PC monitor, my LG32 inch LCD tv, and best of all my LG OLED B7V using HCFR and AVCHD patterns on USB stick and all now have nearly identical colours. I'm a bit late to this thread but I have just bought an i1 Display Pro and used it with HCFR and I have to say the results are a revelation.
